ABOUT MIKE

My name is Mike Davis. For over 20 years, I have been exploring what it is that allows some people to lead truly exceptional, extraordinary lives- the kind of lives that are truly worth living- and those who just "get through" them.

My question has been "Can one really do anything about it if they are finding themselves dissatisfied with the way they are experiencing their life? Can they to do something about that will really matter?"

The Questions

Q. Why won't you just tell me how to make good decisions?

Q. Aren't good decisions based on simply weighing the facts?

Why won't you just tell me how to make good decisions?

A. Because making good decisions is not a "learned" process!

While most people think that making good decsions involves some sort ot "technique", this couldn't be farther from the the truth. The truth is, that the filters you use to make sense of the world are in fact the very first thing to consider when considering... well anything. In other words, once you have a good sense of the filters through which you are expereincing the world, then, and only then, does it make any sense to make a decision.

Aren't good decisions based on simply weighing the facts?

A. No.

The truth is that the most important decisions you have ever made or ever will make are based on insufficent evidence.

While it may be desirable or even to gather information in regard to certain decisions, it is never to arrive at a "rational" answer. No ultimate decision, especially those that are important will ever be based on simply "weighing the facts".
